Enhance your clients’ therapy outcomes

Forbrain® is a powerful brain stimulation device designed to help people overcome speech, attention, or learning issues with specialist support.

Grow your client care toolkit

Forbrain is a clinically evaluated device for specialists, therapists, and educators who work with people trying to overcome difficulties in learning, auditory processing, communication, attention, or memorization. The device delivers an enhanced auditory feedback loop via bone conduction, creating an active sensory workout. Improved voice perception allows the brain to better process information and primarily strengthens speech, attention, and memory.

Forbrain is backed by years of research and is designed to support therapeutic programs. When used as a complement it can boost specialist and client efforts, and time to results. Forbrain is also suited for at-home use because it acts as a bridge in-between sessions. It’s the perfect addition to your toolkit to drive client progress.

What are the benefits?

Clearer speech

Forbrain enhances the fundamental sounds of spoken language. It improves auditory discrimination, phonological awareness, and sound articulation and fluency.

Increased attention

Forbrain creates variations in voice perception that put the brain in a state of alertness. These variations increase attention span, sensory integration, energy, and awareness.

Stronger memory

Forbrain highlights the rhythm of speech and enhances information retention. It helps improve verbal memory, focus and concentration, and reading and writing skills.

Therapeutic applications

Professionals who guide therapeutic programs can see benefits for people with a range of conditions related to speech and language, hearing, attention, learning, memory, and emotional processing.

It’s easy to integrate Forbrain into your daily practice. There’s no need for additional exercises because Forbrain complements your existing program. Alternatively, it can be used in home-based practice to consolidate learnings and progress your client between sessions.

The device is safe, versatile, and easy to use — they simply need to use their voice when practicing.

Speech-Language Pathologists

Forbrain can support your programs or treatment plans for difficulties related to speech and/or language. Encourage smoother speech and promote self-expression.

Occupational Therapists

Take a holistic approach to client care with the addition of Forbrain. You can more effectively communicate with patients making them more comfortable to interact.

Special Education Needs Teachers

Using Forbrain as an aid, teachers can help special education needs students to stay focused and get more out of the classroom and their relationships.

ADHD Experts

Forbrain helps people with ADHD focus and offers a natural, non-invasive approach to treatment. Leverage Forbrain to build skills within their ideal structured environment.

Psychologists

The voice and emotional regulation are interlinked. When Forbrain accompanies therapy, people express themselves with more energy and confidence, and better connect with those around them.

Coaches

Achieve training outcomes faster for those who develop people on singing, voice, behavioral change, language, and corporate coaching.

Once introduced to Forbrain, encourage the client to train for up to 20 minutes at each session. For at-home practice, start with 10 minutes of daily activity and then build up. We recommend consistent use for 6–8 weeks followed by a one month break, then repeat for optimal results. If the device is used in therapy sessions, then as your client’s therapist you’ll know best what duration to recommend.

These professionals share how Forbrain is transforming their clients’ lives.

The moment my student placed the Forbrain on her head, she began singing and playing with her voice, something I have never seen her do before. Whenever my students use Forbrain, they exude confidence and seem ready to tackle any challenge placed in front of them.

Donna E. Rutherford Reading Therapist & Educational Specialist

Forbrain can increase persistence in reading tasks and makes activities more interesting because of the novelty of the headphones. Additionally, kids’ feelings of authority can increase as they may associate the sound effect with a speaker on a stage and internalize the sense of confidence.

Dr. Lara Honos-Webb Author & ADD Expert

I have used Forbrain with kids as part of therapy in a school setting. Forbrain has been amazing! They are using clearer speech, and they are articulating their sounds correctly. I wish I had known about Forbrain sooner.

Frequently Asked Questions

Of course. Forbrain can be used between regular sessions to reinforce the work done with your client. Considering therapy is usually a long-term approach, Forbrain optimizes and complements these efforts.

Forbrain is a painless, non-invasive sensory stimulation device. Like any stimulation, Forbrain can excite and tire the person during sessions. Therefore, Forbrain is not suitable for:

  • Children under 3 years of age
  • People with Parkinson’s disease
  • People with hearing loss in both ears of 80%
  • People carrying a cochlear implant
  • People with epilepsy (except upon specialist advice)

Yes, if the child is 3 years of age or older and they can make sounds. Forbrain can facilitate the cognitive process of self-correction by helping the child better perceive their voice.

Yes, unless the hearing loss is greater than 80% on both ears or in the case of a cochlear implant.

Yes, but adjust the microphone volume so the use of Forbrain remains pleasant to the person. If too much discomfort is experienced, the use of Forbrain should be stopped immediately.

No, but they are designed to fit all head sizes. To comfortably use Forbrain, place the headphones on the bone in front of the ears and properly position the microphone before the mouth. Don’t worry if the hoop doesn’t fit against the head as it won’t affect the device’s comfort or effectiveness.

There are no specific tests designed to assess progress with Forbrain, and progress depends on the individual issue. You can use any psychoeducational testing and assessment tools that you normally use.

Forbrain is the only available tool to process voice through a dynamic filter and retransmit the sound waves by leveraging bone conduction. A unique patented filter opens and closes in response to certain sounds, then transmits the sound via bone conduction with the ear unobstructed. The technology is unique and perfectly complements other therapies.
